Our final film of the Spring Summer 2010 programme, and what better way to end!
This is a film that to many will need no introduction, but to the uninitated, it is summer 1963, JFK is in the Whitehouse, Beatlemania is on the horizon and America is set to be changed for ever. Seventeen year old Francis (called Baby by her doting parents) holidays with her family at Kellermans resort, and falls for bad boy dance teacher Jonny Castle. Its a summer holiday Baby will never forget.
Come see it on the big screen again, and relive all those briliant moments. A top notch soundtrack, an Oscar winning song and 'that' dance at the end. It still shines after two decades.

Autumn Winter 2010
Come July Paisley Film Society will be taking a break to enjoy the summer, but fear not, we will return, revived, refreshed and raring to go with our Autumn Winter screenings. It will be a slightly shorter programme this time round, but the films are still belters. We will also have our popular Buddies Choice where you choose what is shown, and we will be screening shorts before each film.
Watch out for leaflets and the Renfrewshire Council brochure for further details. But for those who can't wait, here is a taster of things to come:

At the end of our first season in our new home at Paisley Arts Centre, we have had a brilliant Spring Summer programme. Fifteen screenings, 3 matinees, two Q&A sessions with the Directors of films shown, a fabulous Gala opening night, your choice of films screened and a confidant return of cinema to Paisley town centre; there really has been something for everyone.
Our success is down to YOU! Without the support of the local people of Paisley, we simply wouldn't have lasted this long. Thank you!
Whilst the Arts Centre gets some well deserved TLC, we will be taking a short break. But fear not, we will return with a succulently sweet programme to see you into the dark nights of Autumn and Winter. Not seen any of your favourite films listed? How To Become A Member of the Paisley Film Society . . .
. . . its really easy. Simply contact us here, tell us you want to become a member, give us your postal address and we'll send our membership form out to you. Fill this out, return it to the address given with your membership fee and we'll get it organised for you. Membership is open to anyone 16 and over.
Your £10 membership fee could get you into all these films for only £3 per screening.
